Heidi Liddle protected a child in the toilet of the studio while Rudakubana killed Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar
One of the two teachers who was leading a Taylor Swift-themed workshop when a knifeman killed three little girls has revealed she was 'paralysed from the neck up' with fear over the potential murder trial which was scheduled to begin on Monday. Heidi Liddle helped run the class which Axel Rudakubana entered at The Hart Space on July 29 last year and systematically stabbed 11 children inside the studio, killing Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine.
I hated to go out, as everyone looked at me, but also I didn't want to be addressed by anyone either. 'I couldn't have any knives out on the side in my kitchen, as I started to think that maybe I should feel what the pain was like to be stabbed, as I struggled mentally with not being physically injured and felt guilty for this. I wanted to remove those intrusive thoughts and so all knives were constantly put away. 'Putting my daughter to sleep was a traumatic event.
