Southwest Airlines has announced they are stopping all operations at Bellingham International Airport.

Southwest Airlines has announced they are stopping all operations at Bellingham International Airport after significant challenges from reduced deliveries of Boeing planes.
Southwest said it’s now set to get 20 Boeing 737 Max 8 planes in 2024 compared to 46 last year. The airline also shared in a statement their first quarter financial results. Southwest Airlines also spoke about Boeing's manufacturing quality concerns of their 737 fleet. Southwest officials said they're not sure Boeing will meet the aircraft delivery schedule, which is why they are going to continue to use their older planes.
