Astronaut Williams and her crew at the International Space Station will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal of smoked turkey, apple cobbler, green beans, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes, highlighting the festive spirit in space during the holiday season.
The crew at the International Space Station will celebrate Thanksgiving with a special meal including smoked turkey, apple cobbler, green beans, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. Astronaut Williams , in an interview with NBC News, mentioned they have a variety of foods that resemble a Thanksgiving feast. She plans to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade before eating with her colleagues from both the U.S. and Russia.
Williams arrived at the space station in early June as part of Boeing's Starliner test flight but due to unforeseen circumstances, her stay was extended. She and her colleague, Butch Wilmore, are scheduled to return to Earth in February via SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule. Despite the extension, Williams maintains that there has always been a plan for their return
