SpaceX is building a Starbase sushi restaurant and a recreation center, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Elon Musk ’s SpaceX appears to be making life more entertaining for its Starbase employees with plans to add a $13.5 million recreation center and a half-million-dollar sushi restaurant at the rocket city near Boca Chica Beach outside Brownsville , filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show. The proposed projects are the commercial space company’s latest developments at Starbase as Starship launches become more regular.
Starbase rising: Rapid expansion, growing pains at SpaceX’s South Texas rocket city Jeffrey Miller Architecture and Design of Manhattan Beach, Calif., is listed as the designer for both projects, which are slated to begin May 1 with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2025.
