At least 155 people have been killed after flash flooding swept large areas of Spain. A major rescue effort is under way to find the large numbers of people still missing - but forecasters are warning more torrential rain is on the way for some of the worst-hit areas.

The newspaper explains that orange level indicates the threshold of a river has been reached - and that volume of rain could cause a"dangerous" event. Another official told the newspaper that the Corbones River had reached a"historical maximum" in its flow in the section corresponding to Carmona. As we reported in our 13.20 post, major damage has been caused to the rail infrastructure in the Valencia region - something borne out in the set of images below.
