Spain’s coronavirus death toll passes 20,000 – but parents demand their kids are allowed out of lockdown
SPAIN'S coronavirus death toll today topped 20,000 as the bug's spread continued to slow after a five-week lockdown.has so far infected more than 191,726 people despite Spanish authorities introducing some of the strictest measures.
Current restrictions across the country mean essential workers are allowed to leave their homes, with other residents only permitted to go outside to buy food and medicine after a State of Emergency was declared.The State of Emergency was expected to be lifted on April 26 but Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has warned it could be extended to May 10.
