Lanzarote's president Dolores Corujo previously said there were too many tourists in Lanzarote
A Spanish Travel Board has issued a statement over claims it was looking for visitors of "higher class".
The boss of Jet2, Steve Heapy, sent a letter to Dolores Corujo asking her to clarify her statements and whether she wants tourists from the UK to come to the Canary island., reports Birmingham Live.Now, the Federacion Turistica de Lanzarote has reiterated their "strong ties" with British tourists.
