A Shropshire special needs school has defended its school uniform policy after criticism by a parent whose daughter was told not to return to school three weeks before the end of term as her shoes were the wrong colour.
The black and grey shoes worn all term that were deemed no longer school uniform by Queensway South campus The Telford mother, who doesn't want to be named, said she had sent her daughter to Queensway School's South campus in Dawley in the same black and grey shoes she had been wearing all year.
