BREAKING: Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd admits fleeing UK for killing date on Thames
Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd, 31, has pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to breaching bail and absconding before his trial for the manslaughter of his date Charlotte Brown.
The 31-year-old’s extradition was granted last month by a court in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. He was tracked down to Georgia after fleeing during his trial for causing the death of his date Charlotte Brown, 24, during a late-night trip on the Thames in London in December 2015.Shepherd was convicted and jailed in his absence last year for manslaughter by gross negligence, after the couple were thrown into the water. He has been granted leave to appeal against his conviction.
