Gogglebox favourite Ellie Warner's boyfriend Nat Eddleston is lucky to still be alive following a road incident last year, but the speeding driver won't be going to prison
The boyfriend of Gogglebox's Ellie Warner, Nat Eddleston, has discovered the fate of the man who nearly killed him on a night out.
It's reported that his car exceeded 40mph in a 30mph zone upon ploughing into Nat, who was walking home after some drinks with his mates. Witnesses claim the vehicle swerved onto the wrong side of the road, telling Leeds Crown Court that Nat was smashed with such force that the windscreen exploded and its roof collapsed.
The lawyer Lisa Judge argued that her client had swerved trying to avoid other individuals walking off pavement, and that Declan had displayed remorse despite later being fined for speeding again. He was then handed a two-year jail term - suspended for two years - and told to undertake 20 days of probation rehabilitation, alongside a three-year driving ban.
