Motherwell to stand firm against SPFL over potentially 'ridiculous' Dundee call-off options.
The SPFL have been warned Motherwell will stand firmly against the prospect of having their game versus Dundee moved.
A pitch inspection is scheduled for 11am on Saturday morning in the City of Discovery, with pitch covers, on loan from Celtic, currently protecting the surface from heavy rainfall.If the game falls foul to the weather, then it will be the fifth postponed game on Dundee's home turf this season. They're currently under an SPFL investigation after their match, due to be shown live on Sky Sports against Rangers, was called off just 90 minutes prior to kick-off a few weeks ago.
"Our clear position is that we play on Saturday at Dens or we reschedule the game for another time and if that means that the post-split fixtures are pushed back then so be it. Playing behind closed doors is ridiculous and I think if we are forced down that line, we will stand firm and not do it.
