Thousands of music fans at Splendour will be delighted to hear that issues with the card payments and bar queues have been fixed ahead of the second day on Sunday, July 24. Fans complained about the 'sluggish' service speeds which saw some visitors waiting up to an hour for a drink.

There were on average 20,000 music fans attending the Saturday with similar numbers expected on Sunday, not to mention crew, performers, staff and the many teams responsible for putting on the show. "This is part of the rustiness and we put a new till system in this time round. We normally have a different system and it was too slow to cope. We dealt with it last night so there shouldn't be any issues today. We will endeavor to never have that happen again," he said.There have been a number of supply issues across the performance industry as live music and events return to venues after Covid restrictions caused a hiatus for two years.
