"It's just so magical to me to mix up a tub of flour, water, salt and sourdough starter and end up with this ," said Sophie Jeffery, bakery owner. " after that winter storm in 2021. I baked a lot of bread for friends and family who were having trouble finding groceries and I really realized I liked making bread in bulk. I just went with it! I was looking for a career at the time and just decided to jump for it."We're glad she did! Jeffery showed us how she creates her sourdough. Before it enters the oven, she scores the bread, which tells the dough where it should expand.
