Chris Packham had viewers chuckling with a cheeky comment just moments into the latest episode of Springwatch. The BBC show made its return on Wednesday , with Chris and his co-presenter Michaela Strachan broadcasting live from ARNE Nature Reserve in Dorset.
Michaela playfully expressed her disappointment at losing the wager to Chris, saying: "I'm delighted they fledged. I'm not so delighted that you won that bet," as she faced her colleague. She then reminded him that they still had to check on the robins. Accepting the alternative prize, Chris gleefully took hold of the spade, commenting: "The long spade. Look at that, I love a long spade. Look how long that shaft is. That's got to be 175cm of shaft."
