The Spurs' Victor Wembanyama was seen at Heroes & Fantasies in San Antonio, apparently shopping for trading cards — not his rookie card.
Well, he wasn't looking for his own rookie card. Spurs ' star Victor Wembanyama recently swung by Heroes & Fantasies off U.S. 281 to indulge his not-so-inner geek, this time at the largest comic book shop in Texas . You'll remember this is the same sci-fi and fantasy-loving guy who said he'd spend his first NBA paycheck on a roughly $850 Lego Millennium Falcon .
Heroes & Fantasies Vice President Adam Conley confirmed Wembanyama stopped in to check out the comics as well as the trading cards, though in this case we're talking cards of the Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon variety, not sports cards of himself. That latter conjecture accompanied a picture of the Rookie of the Year at the shop, which sports writer Josh Eberley posted on X .
