For the longest time, fans believed Anya and Bond were the only beings who successfully gained powers through these experiments. Yet, Spy x Family Short Mission 13 could disprove this theory. In the chapter, the Forger's loveable dog, Bond, is seen having a flashback to his time as a test subject, showing a room full of dogs being subjected to cruel experiments. This could imply that something similar occurred in Anya’s case.
In Bond’s flashback, a room full of hurt and exhausted dogs can be seen. This heavily implies that he was not the only animal the scientists of Project Apple were trying to give esper powers to. Despite how little we know about the experiments these researchers did, we can infer that Anya’s experience was similar to Bond’s.
Did Anya Escape A Terrible Fate? Anya could have become a weapon for Ostania’s government Close While it has never been confirmed, it has been suggested that Anya was hiding in an orphanage at the beginning of the series after escaping Project Apple. It is currently unknown if she escaped by her own means or had someone’s help. Either way, with the possibility of other children being test subjects, there is a high likelihood that some were not as fortunate.
