A mother in Indiana is facing felony charges after police say she paid squatters living in a vacant home to babysit her children.According to local reports and online court records, Shaniqua Gilchrist is facing three counts of child neglect after the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report in January of two young children walking unattended in the street.
Records show that the neglect charges against Boyden were dismissed on May 13. On the same day, he was charged with domestic battery and possession of methamphetamine, among other offenses.The three children have been placed in the custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services, according to a report by McClatchy National Real-Time reporter Lauren Liebhaber.Newsweek reached out to the Indiana Department of Child Services via email for additional information Monday afternoon.
