Squid Game series 2 spoilers belowIt’s a bit of a kick in the teeth to wait three years for a follow-up series to the hyper-violent, dystopian horror Squid Game, only to be left with yet another big cliffhanger. It does, however, set up things very nicely for the third entry into the trilogy that director Hwang Dong-hyuk has already promised fans.
Policeman Hwang Jun-ho is also likely to return, as his brother is the Front Man, though it’s unclear if he will ever manage to find Gi-hun and the Squid Game island, as he’s completely unaware that the Captain has been double crossing him. The Captain could also too return. But, apart from a few solitary contestants who we can assume are still in the game, most of the other characters have been killed off.
