Alexander C. Enskat, 31, of the 40W300 block of Oliver Wendell Holmes Street in St. Charles Township, died in the crash, which happened at 1:31 a.m. Friday at Route 64 near Anderson Road in the township, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. After responding to the scene, Kane County Sheriff’s deputies found a red 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 facing eastbound in a north ditch, the release stated. The vehicle had significant front-end damage from a head-on crash with a utility pole, officials said.
