A red weather warning is in place for much of North-East Scotland and the decision has been taken to call the game off, 24 hours before the match at McDiarmid Park was due to take place.
However, they will now need to wait until next Saturday to have that opportunity, when they welcome Ross County to Fir Park for a Premiership clash.A statement from St Johnstone read: “The club can confirm that our match against Motherwell tomorrow afternoon has been postponed. "Additionally, further extreme weather conditions are forecast across the Perthshire area with a red weather warning now in place until tomorrow midnight.
