The TV presenter and former X Factor contestant told the Glad We Had This Chat podcast that she wants to spend more time with her young kids
Stacey Solomon says she will be slowly giving up showbiz ventures – so she can become a stay-at-home mum . The TV presenter, 34, explained she wants to spend more time with her children.‘I don’t want to miss what I missed with my older children’ Stacey is mum to Zachary, 16 and Leighton, 12 from a previous relationship, and mum to three younger children, Rex, five, Rose, two, and Belle, 15 months who she shares with husband Joe Swash, 42.
Stacey explained that her eldest son, Zachary, 16, would soon be leaving school and her second son, Leighton, 12, would be in the same position in the following years. She said: ‘I’m at a pivotal moment in my life … I recognise that I’ve been really busy for life, and his life is at a really important point, and my second son will get to that point before I know it.
‘And then I’ve got these three babies. I don’t want to miss what I potentially feel like I missed with my older children.’ Working from home ‘90% of the time’ Stacey explained that during a team meeting with her agent, she told her team that her five-year goal was to be a stay-at-home mum.‘What I’m trying to do at this point is make sure everything that I work on I can work on 90 per cent of the time at home. And then just do passion projects outside of the house.’‘I’m a phenomenal mum’ But Stacey said she doesn’t feel mum guilt as she’s got older.Stacey appears on ITV’s Loose Women.
