A man who crashed a white van on top of a prominent Telford roundabout has been handed a long driving ban and told to do 60 hours of unpaid work.

Telford Magistrates Court heard that Samuel Mee had been planning to stay over with friends but instead drove off and crashed on the Clock Tower Roundabout inKate Price, prosecuting, told the court on Tuesday that the van ended up on the middle of the roundabout with its hazard lights flashing.

Police came across 24-year-old Mee but he refused to give a breath sample at the roadside so was arrested and taken into custody. He was asked again but refused. “It is hard to say if it was a deliberate refusal but he was given so many chances but he was not corresponding with officers and mumbling. “An officer said that 'all you have got to do is blow in here',” said Ms Price. “He was given half an hour to provide but did not do so and was charged.”Two 'bungling' drug dealers jailed for 12 years after leaving bag of drugs on train then reporting it missingTwo 'bungling' drug dealers jailed for 12 years after leaving bag of drugs on train then reporting it missing
