Stalking and harassment now make up a third of all cases of violent crimes recorded by police, fresh analysis has revealed
have more than doubled since 2015, when there were 328,000 cases between April 2015 and March 2016.
Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said stalking and harassment was “plaguing the lives of too many women” and that flashing was a “serious crime but too often isn’t taken seriously enough”.to tackle such forms of violent and sexual crimes. On Monday, the government announced it would crack down harder on domestic abusers in a bid to protect women and girls.
