New West Virginia men's basketball coach Darian DeVries has brought some reinforcements from Drake. DeVries announced at his introductory news conference Thursday that his son, Tucker, will transfer from Drake to join him with the Mountaineers. Tucker DeVries was Drake’s top scorer this season at nearly 22 points per game.

“For me to be able to come here for my senior year and to be a part of all of this, I’m looking really forward to it and I’m super excited,” Tucker said. He compiled a 150-55 record in six seasons and took Drake to the NCAA Tournament three times. Drake won at least 25 games in four straight seasons, tying a school record for wins this season at 28-7.
