I’ve been writing about video games, television and movies for Forbes for over 10 years, and you may have seen my reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. I cover all manner of console and PC games, but if it’s about looting or shooting, I’m definitely there. If I’m watching something, it’s usually science fiction, horror or superheroic.
There has been a bit of skepticism about Ubisoft’s story-driven, open-world Star Wars game, Outlaws, since it was announced. But after a “play for four hours” preview that encompassed in a huge number of journalists and content creators to play, generally speaking the reactions are pretty positive.
There is some amount of negativity, albeit mostly from players who have simply watched footage rather than played. The all-knowingis an exception and wasn’t all that positive, but will give it a chance at release. But a ton of other people and outlets? Here’s a sampling:– “I can’t stand Star Wars anymore. Somehow, the Ubisoft open world game reminded me why i loved Star Wars at all. Star Wars Outlaw is looking fantastic.
