Actress Daisy Ridley revealed that she has been diagnosed with Graves' disease during an interview with "Women's Health."

The actress, best known for her portrayal of Rey in "Star Wars," told Women's Health that she started feeling different while working on the film "Magpie," which initially released back in March.Ridley told Women's Health that her endocrinologist confirmed she has Graves' disease, which affects the thyroid gland.According to the Cleveland Clinic,

researchers aren't sure what causes autoimmune diseases like Graves' disease. Per the clinic, an event "triggers your immune system to overproduce an antibody called thyroid-stimulating immunoglobulin . TSI attaches to healthy thyroid cells, causing your thyroid to overproduce thyroid hormones."
