Early access allows gamers to play Starfield up to five days before its global release
The highly-anticipated Bethesda game promises to give gamers the opportunity to travel through space and explore more than 1,000 planets spanning 100 star systems. The open-world game also marks the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in nearly 30 years, giving fans of Skyrim and the Fallout series something new to sink their teeth into.
Fortunately, if you feel that you simply can't wait to jump into Starfield, there are some ways you can start playing the game before its full release. Early access for Starfield starts five days before the official launch on September 6, however, you may have to spend some extra cash to play it this soon. Players can get the early access if they pre-order the following versions of the game: If you can play on early access, the game will be available from 1am BST on September 1 for both Xbox and PC. Bethesda highlighted that "actual play time depends on the purchase date and is subject to possible outages and applicable time zone differences".
If you really don't want to spend the extra cash and think you can wait those few extra days, the game will be available via Game Pass on both PC and Xbox. Game Pass on PC costs £7.99 a month and £8.99 a month on console at the cheapest.
