We acted as if we were entitled to your vote.” Keir Starmer will have a smaller majority than Tony Blair enjoyed in his first two terms of government.Conservatives looking for excuses will be tempted to point the bone at Reform Leader Nigel Farage for splitting the Conservative vote.
The latest estimates on migration from the Office for National Statistics suggest 1.2 million people migrated into the UK and 532,000 people emigrated from it, leaving a net migration figure of 685,000, a historical high.
