Jason Robertson, the Dallas Stars' leader in points this season, is making meaningful contributions during the playoff run with his defense and shot blocking.
Robertson leads all Dallas forwards in blocked shots this postseason and ranks second at his position in the NHL.

“I’ve been really happy with his game. He’s really engaged,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said. “He’s really underrated defensively. He takes a lot of pride in it.”Ahead of Game 6, Oettinger was asked about Robertson’s shot-blocking in the locker room. From a few stalls down, Robertson chimed in to make it known that he leads all forwards on the team in that category. His pride in that area of his game is clear.
In the playoffs, Robertson is averaging 3.97 blocked shots per 60 minutes. That’s more than double his regular-season numbers when he ranked 16th on the team and ninth among forwards with 1.24 blocked shots per 60 minutes. Last playoffs, he had even fewer with seven blocked shots in 19 games .“You want to do whatever it takes to win. That is part of it. Doesn’t matter how you do it,” Robertson said. “I think everyone’s doing it.
