“We have a lot of people who sustained damage will sustain damage and this is my concern,” said State Representative Todd Hunter, a Republican from Corpus Christi. “Are their rates going to go up?” “Individual rates will not go up from admitted companies because of a natural claim natural up in like a fire if they're covered, correct if they're covered,” was the answer.

“So, I want to make sure I heard this because Panhandle, make sure you print this on the record. You're telling me that they make a claim. And they go the insurance companies that can be assured that when that policy renews there's not going to be a rate hike?” Hunter asked again. “They will not individually face an additional premium because of a natural disaster type claim,” answered the department representative.
