State pensioners are poised to receive a Christmas bonus payment from the Department for Work and Pensions within the coming days. The bonus, valued at £10, has traditionally been disbursed to qualifying households in the first week of December and is designed to arrive by no later than January 1.
The range of qualifying benefits for state pensioners encompasses the Adult Disability Payment, Armed Forces Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Carer's Allowance, and Constant Attendance Allowance under the Industrial Injuries or War Pensions schemes. Additionally included are the guarantee element of Pension Credit, the State Pension , War Disablement Pension at State Pension age, and the War Widow's Pension.
