The Pittsburgh Steelers will host two wide receivers for workouts with questions looming about the room.
Cleveland Browns Wide receiver Daylen Baldwin catches a pass in a receivers drill during training camp held at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, July 23, 2023.but an injury in training camp last year ended his tenure with the team after a season. He jumped around some practice squads and 90-man rosters, joining the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons. However, the Falcons released Baldwin on August 1, opening up the Steelers to have a shot at him.
Meanwhile, Luther comes out of Gardner-Webb and went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was on the New York Jets and New England Patriots at different points in 2023, but has failed to stick on a roster in 2024 after the Patriots released Luther in June. Luther ran a 4.5 40-yard dash coming out in 2023, and has a background as a kick returner in addition to playing wide receiver. Unlike Baldwin, who is 6-foot-1, Luther is 5-foot-11, and projects more as a slot receiver.
These are the two known names that the Steelers will reportedly be working out on Monday, but there could be more as they look to add to the room and evaluate talent at wide receiver that still may be on the open market.
