Steph Curry earns his first Olympic gold medal by leading Team USA to their fifth.
Team USA has done it again, winning their fifth consecutive gold medal in Men's Basketball. And they couldn't have done it without Stephen Curry.In a thrilling final pitting the United States against France, USA came out on top 98-87. Despite holding onto the lead for more than 87 percent of the game, this happy ending could have been an upset if not for a litany of clutch three-pointers from Curry.
Meanwhile, France put up a heck of a fight, with reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama proving he belongs on the court with the other NBA superstars.Wembanyama led the game in scoring, scoring 26 points on 11-for-19 shooting. he also recorded seven total rebounds, two assists, and a steal.Right behind him was Guerschon Yabusele, who scored 20 points. However, this was with a 43 percent field goal percentage. He also only made seven of his 10 free throws.
