Stephen was walking off stage after making his speech when he lost his balance and slipped off the side of the stage – falling six feet and suffering injuries to his ribs and legs.that Stephen ‘fell two metres to the floor,’ adding he appeared to be injured and ‘had to leave in a wheelchair.’
The TV personality was reportedly rushed to hospital following the incident last Thursday, and while it is unclear whether he remains hospitalised, he has not posted on social media since. Stephen was reportedly speaking at AI and Tech festival CogX when the alleged accident occurred, with a spokesperson telling the outlet they were ‘deeply concerned to hear of Stephen’s accident.’‘We are thinking of him and wishing him a swift recovery. We have opened our own enquiry and until then we are not able to share any further details.’
Meanwhile, Greenwich council confirmed they received an ‘acccident report’ and was ‘considering whether any further investigations are needed.’ The London Ambulance Service confirmed to Metro.co.uk they were called to ‘reports of an incident at the O2 Arena’ however do not confirm or deny patients’ identities.
