As Stephen Mulhern opens up about his 'very small network of celeb friends', let's take a peek inside the Britain's Got More Talent star's close friendship circle
Since kick starting his career in the world of TV back in 1998 while on CITV, Stephen Mulhern has become one of the most familiar faces on TV. Throughout his 25-year long career, the TV personality has fronted shows including Britain's Got More Talent, Big Star's Little Star and Catchphrase, and more recently became the host of the reboot of Deal or No Deal.
In fact, in 2014 Stephen opened up about his friendship with the former This Morning presenter and also revealed who else he’d call a “proper mate” of his within the showbiz industry. “Live TV is wow. There’s something about being live, and this is where it comes down to trust on-screen. Ant and Dec and I have known each other for 26 years. I was doing CITV and they were doing SM:TV Live and we would cross over and do things together but also, where I live, I can walk to the boys houses in five minutes,” he said.
In August 2012, Stephen and Emma began presenting across the Heart Network and speaking to The Sun in 2018, Stephen spoke fondly of the former Big Brother as he called her “the kindest” presenter and explained how he’d turn to Emma when in need of words of wisdom. “It was really fun. Stephen Mulhern did the ceremony. It felt like a roasting. I stood there and had the mickey taken out of me for 20 minutes,” Matt told Lorraine at the time.
