Tony Cascarino believes Raheem Sterling would be ideal for Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea MCFC CFC
Tony Cascarino has backed Raheem Sterling to be an upgrade on Christian Pulisic if he completes a move to Chelsea.Sterling has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summerThomas Tuchel’s side are likely to be strengthened this summer with the Blues being given a £200million war chest by new owner Todd Boehly in order to mount a serious title challenge next term.
While Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been linked with Sterling, a deal could hinge on Chelsea offloading the likes of Pulisic, who according to Cascarino, has struggled to live up to expectations. Speaking on talkSPORT, ex-Chelsea striker Cascarino said: “I really thought that Pulisic would be a great player for Chelsea when they got him.“One thing that Raheem has got is that he’s very durable and, touch wood, he avoids injuries but he’s a very durable player.
The Blues could raid Man City this summer, with reports suggesting they could also sign Sterling’s teammate Gabriel Jesus. The Brazil striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham., Chelsea are the latest team to be offered his services and they could be tempted, amid uncertainty over the future of Romelu Lukaku.
