Steve Bruce has finally returned to football by taking up a surprise role after two years without a job.
The former Manchester United defender coached Wigan, Birmingham, Sunderland, Hull City and Aston Villa during the best years of his managerial career, before enduring difficult spells at Newcastle and West Brom.Bruce has been out of work sine leaving the latter in October 2022 after just eight months in charge, but he has now made a shock return to the dugout.The 63-year-old replaced Neil Critchley, who was sacked after just two games.
Blackpool owner Simon Sadler said: "I'm confident that Steve’s experience and leadership qualities will be a tremendous asset for Blackpool Football Club.
