Former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is “desperate” to “build credit” with Leicester City supporters after fans turned on him and his team as they scraped through to the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Midway through the second period, a fan from the City end ventured onto the pitch and seemed to make a beeline for Cooper and his dugout, shouting and pointing. But Cooper didn’t shy away from discussing the fan chants and said he’s determined to win them over. “I have no problem with it. It’s an experience for me that I will try to make the best of. What an opportunity to show how good I am and how good we are. That will be my approach to it.
