Steve McClaren is set to return to management for the first time in five years after being unveiled as the new Jamaica boss, pipping Steve Bruce to the job
Jamaica have announced the appointment of Manchester United first-team coach Steve McClaren as their new manager.
Previous to that, McClaren had spent time at the likes of Derby, Newcastle, Wolfsburg, Nottingham Forest. McClaren has experience of working in international management also, after spending 15 months in charge of England. He won nine of his 18 matches with the Three Lions before his dismissal. Speaking after being appointed, McClaren said: "I am extremely proud and excited to take up the position of Head Coach for The Jamaica Men’s National Team. I had no hesitation in accepting a position that is ideally suited to me at this stage of my career.
