A superb festival win by Seaforth angler Steve Parry saw him take the honours in the very first On the Flyer TV series held at the beautiful Ashton Park Fisheries last week. Certainly no stranger to success and winning ways, Parry, a guru in his own right and as part of the company’s amazing angling team, this win was just another notch in what has already been an incredible career on the bank wherever he has fished.
There's two major brackets in angling... On the local scene, Mescar fisheries, as one of our own finest, again saw a superb turnout on Sunday. Regulars upon this magnificent venue, located in Downholland, fielded Mistral Lake within the complex, which paid homage to many rods from all over the region. Wigan’s Gary Taylor took the top weight of the day in a match that certainly saw a very close finish.
