He was trained at a skills training centre in the city before moving to a stonemason in Jedburgh.
A Stirling -trained stonemason has seen off competitors from across the UK to be crowned as the winner of a prestigious national award.
The judges assessed the competitors on aspects including technical ability, time management, problem solving, skills working under pressure, and compliance with health and safety requirements. “The encouragement from the staff at the Skills Training Centre and my employer has been great, and I’d like to say thanks to everyone that has supported me throughout.”
