Residents of Lancashire Hill flats in Stockport fear the worst as flats are infiltrated by rats
Neighbours have been left frustrated and feel 'ignored' by landlords as they are seeing "a huge infestation" of rats.
"It is forgotten, it is disgusting, it is dirty now. It is embarrassing to bring people back to the corridors. It is absolutely embarrassing," she continued. "And now I have to live with rats and mice."Being a mum, Kylie has grown distressed with the current living conditions describing the apartment as "inhumane", saying 'this place needs demolishing'.
"I am hoovering and bleaching everyday, I am taking the sofas apart every day, even to the extent that they are eating the carpet." Like Kylie, Donna was encouraged by the landlords Stockport Homes to contact the pest control, adding" I have reported it twice and they've come four times to my property. None of the traps had been touched."
"I feel like I am doing their job for them, I shouldn’t have to go out and buy my own equipment to sort this out myself," she continued. "I am not prepared to live in a property like this."
