Spectacular ballroom featured in tonight's episode after being used as a rehearsal space by Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk
Stockport town hall's spectacular ballroom took centre stage on tonight's Strictly Come Dancing. The grand Edwardian venue provided the backdrop as former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk rehearsed to the Curtis Stigers' hit I Wonder Why.
"I drive past the town hall every day and I never knew what was here inside. It's the perfect place to learn the waltz. Adam's brother, fellow actor Ryan, could even been seen shedding a tear in the audience. Judge Anton Du Beke admitted he was 'speechless' after the performance and praised the actor for having the best top line he had seen across the whole series.
