The vehicle had been recently stolen from Bolton, police said, but was spotted by officers close to Preston. A stinger was deployed by police ‘to prevent any pursuit’ with the incident first being reported at around 5.18am this morning .A spokesperson for police said: “Jeep had been reported as recently stolen from Bolton, it was sighted entering Preston by eagle-eyed officers and successfully stung by another officer to prevent any pursuit.Sign up below to receive Blog Preston's email newsletter.
