The head of Stonegate Pub Company, the UK's largest pub chain, has promised that none of the 80 venues in Greater Manchester will close, despite the company's struggle with a £2.3bn debt pile.
The head of the UK's largest pub chain Stonegate Pub Company - which oversees around 4,400 venues across the country - has pledged that none of the 80 venues the firm owns in Greater Manchester will close.
After acquiring Ei Group, once known as Enterprise Inns, for £1.3 billion, Stonegate became the UK's largest pub operator in 2019, while also taking on a further £1.7bn in debt. "Our all-round performance exemplifies the strength and depth of the Stonegate estate, with our outstanding Craft Union and L&T divisions continuing to lead the way.
