Forecasters have issued three new weather warnings as Storm Babet unleashes dangerous rainfall.
The Met Office has issued a new red rain warning for Storm Babet in the northeast that goes into effect at midnight tonight.
According to the Met Office, communities in the red warning areas could be cut off for days and people could experience loss of power and other essential services such as gas, water and mobile phone service. Hundreds of residents in Brechin are being evacuated as Storm Babet is expected to breach flood defences. Angus Council said people in 400 homes have been told to leave.
