Travel disruption continues into Sunday with a number of train operators cancelling services
Heavy rain and thawing snow are combining to bring further flooding across Lancashire as Storm Bert continues to batter the UK.
Several roads remain closed due to flooding, including the A675 Bolton Road in Abbey Village. As of 8.45am, 64 flood warnings and 183 flood alerts were in place across England while the Met Office said Storm Bert is likely to cause "dangerous coastal conditions" and disruption. Adverse weather caused by Storm Bert has led the cancellation of several events in and around Lancashire this weekend.
Yellow weather warnings for wind and rain remain in place today, Sunday 24 November, which may affect most of Scotland and many parts of England and Wales until Monday 25 November.Although there is no weather warning for Monday 25 November at the moment, it's expected that services will still feel the impact from Storm Bert.warning for rain, however, is no longer in place for the region, easing fears of further torrential downpours after a day of consistent rainfall on Saturday.
