The workweek is ending on a drier and comfier note but storm chances spike on Saturday. T.J. Springer has the timeline and details on the rest of our Memorial Day Weekend.
Drier air has taken over thanks to high pressure briefly building into the region. The NW breeze has ushered in a less humid airmass too, with dew points in the 40s and 50s. The pleasant feel will hold this evening into tonight with lows near 60. Saturday will start off pleasant but you'll notice the stickier feel. Eventually, we'll turn muggy, as moisture streams in ahead of our next system. Most of the day will be dry so if you have plans outdoors, you should be okay.
A stronger storm moves our way just in time for Memorial Day with widespread showers and storms on the table. The question mark is how much can we destabilize. I could see a few strong storms with the current set-up but the cloud cover and temps/moisture content will be key. Stay tuned if you're traveling! Conditions brighten up and dry out on Tuesday but a spotty shower and storm are still possible as an upper-level disturbance swings through.
