) - The unseasonably high humidity continues across the Gulf Coast today with strong South winds that will keep Rip Current risks high at all area beaches. The muggy air stays with us till a front knocks it all out on Friday. Highs this afternoon will reach 90 degrees and the “feel like” temperature should be higher than that so make sure you’re staying hydrated out there and keeping cool during the afternoon hours.
There won’t be much of a rain chance today, but that changes when the front arrives on Friday. There will be showers/storms ahead of it. Rain coverage should reach 50%. The main threats will be gusty straight line winds and possible hail.
