All eyes on Tropical Storm Beryl late Sunday and Monday - will Beryl intensify into a hurricane as it heads towards the coast?Today we’re watching a storm afternoon from noon into the evening hours with the chance for thunderstorms and heavy rain in some spots. Our high is 94 but thanks to the humidity, some spots could hit as high as 104 “feels like” temperatures.
Right now, a Hurricane Watch and Storm Surge Watch has been issued for parts of the Texas coast. We’re watching and tracking the chance for life threatening winds of 75- 120 mph winds and the chance for storm surge of 3-5 feet. And a flood risk on Monday for all of SE Texas - we may see 5″ of rain by Monday. After Beryl makes landfall our weather pattern changes. Similar to the pattern we had a month ago, heavy rain is possible every day next week.
